Jared Sues is Head Realization Advisor and Agent at Realize IP Law, where he works with early-stage companies and established businesses to develop and protect the intellectual property that drives their competitive advantage. Jared advises and counsels clients across the full IP lifecycle — from initial strategy through prosecution and portfolio management — but does not take an equity or partnership stake in the ventures he serves. His role is to help innovators REALize the value of what they have built.
Jared's legal practice is grounded in a career as a working engineer. Before entering law, he held technical roles spanning missile defense architecture evaluation, nuclear power plant structural analysis, aerospace component manufacturing, and automotive collision reconstruction. That depth of real-world engineering experience allows him to engage with client technology at a substantive level — quickly grasping complex systems and communicating them clearly to patent offices, collaborators, and decision-makers.
Jared serves as a Supervising Lawyer at the Osgoode Innovation Clinic, supporting needs-based access to IP commercialization and mentoring emerging IP professionals.
