Aman holds a Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration (JD/MBA) from the University of Toronto, one of Canada's foremost institutions for legal and business education. He began his legal career at McCarthy Tétrault LLP, a preeminent national law firm, where he trained across corporate transactions, investment funds, and real estate — developing a strong foundation in high-stakes, complex matters from the outset of his practice.
Aman has been at the forefront of the intersection between law and technology throughout his career. He worked at a legal technology startup, where he applied his legal expertise to the development and refinement of AI-powered legal research tools. This early and sustained engagement with legal technology gives Aman a sophisticated understanding of both the opportunities and the legal considerations that emerging technologies present to businesses.
Aman has dedicated significant time to public service and community leadership. He served for nearly a decade on the Board of Directors of the Peel Multicultural Council, including as Chair of the Finance, Personnel and Administration Committee, where he provided governance oversight for a $4 million annual budget and policy direction. He has also served in roles within the offices of federal government cabinet ministers, gaining firsthand insight into the workings of government that continues to inform his regulatory and public sector practice.
